Design has always been one of my favorite things to do. It encompasses the creative spirit and process as well as the technical know how to make something worth looking at.
My Cousin has asked me to design a tattoo for him, so naturally I'm very excited to do this, I've just been hella busy so its been tough to keep it up during these demanding weeks.
Tonight though I've cleared some time and am finally able to really sit down and iron out some details and overall form. Since it's a sleeve I'm going to have to invent the patterning from the elbow down, so I'm going to have to do more research.
He wants a tribal looking tattoo sleeve that has a heavy Filipino influence to it, on top of the pattern sits a lizard. I'm going to try to implement the texturing we learned in Katherine's class to make a convincing lizard while making the sleeve itself more graphic to juxtapose the images for more impact. I want to make a sick cuff to the sleeve too, not just this 'ends out of the no where' BS. Its gotta start sick and end sick.
I'll post pictures afterwards.
